Because we didn't get any new letters, I'm cheesily reprinting last week's letters...


Dear Don, Jerry, and Invincible Spud,

I was surprised and bewildered to see your new issue, Novembril 2002, published, even though I've read some of your other issues, but I get bewildered every time! As usual, you provide an enjoyable and thought-provoking mix of bewildering and strange fiction, nonfiction, and poetry. I find it amazing that such quality literature can be found on your web site! And for free! Wow!

My favorite of the issue was Decmerion P. Newhamstershire's "The Utter Absurdity!" As with his earlier "stories," it makes no sense. I mean that in a good way, of course. Though I think he tries a bit too hard to, as he puts it, "make non-poetic prose rhyme." Why not let the muse take over and write it the way it should be written, Decmerion? I think your stories work a lot better as poetry than fiction. It's obvious that you are a poet at heart, and your best writing lies in poetry, so why try to turn what's already good into something else? I look forward to reading more of your works in the future, and may your talent and creativity take you to great heights.

Good to see a big thick issue again with some pretty bewildering stuff in it too. From explorations of classic works by Asimov or E. B. White all the way to ET's experimental piece. Plus several points in between. I only wish I'd had time to contribute to issue 10 or in least time to write a longer letter.
