Defuser

by Jerry Wright

She bites me in my dreams
Just like in reality
Making the Corescoi bleed
As they fall from the flowers
And I slip on wet cerament
As I run after sunburned shadows
In shades of three
Looking at her in a new light
With my eyes closed
And she dreams of beautiful things
But there’s no heaven in her
Only the emptiness I can’t fill
As the angels die at her feet
And the Corescoi around her
I bleed and bite her reality
And reality bites back
A toothless craven thing
While the Corescoi dance
In maddened strings of DNA
And Space-Time.
