Alexandra Diorditsa
Bewildering Stories biography
My name is Alexandra Diorditsa. I am a prose writer, poet, screenwriter, and composer, as well as a member of the Union of Writers of Russia. I am the recipient of the Mikhail Prishvin Literary Prize (2024) and a finalist for the Ivan Bunin Literary Prize (2024-2025). Storytelling, emotional depth, and the exploration of human nature are central to my literary work.

Alexandrovna was born and raised in the city of Vidnoe, Moscow Region.
She holds two higher education degrees: in pedagogy and law.
Alexandra is a member of the Moscow Regional Organization of the Writers’ Union of Russia, Deputy Head of the youth social and literary movement “Scarlet Sails” in Moscow.
Alexandra is a screenwriter, writer, and poet, and the head of the children’s literary workshop ‘Slovo’ (The Word) in Vidnoe, the Artistic Director of the Children’s Dramatic Theater-Studio “Atmosphere.”
In addition, Alexandra is:
- The laureate of the Mikhail Prishvin Prize (2024)
- The editor-in-chief of the children’s literary magazine Pervaya Stroka (The First Line)
- The Deputy Head of the youth social and literary movement Scarlet Sails
- The finalist of the annual Ivan Bunin Regional Prize (2024)
Alexandra had a passion for creativity and literature since she was a child, and her first young adult fantasy book, The Numbers of Yesterday, was published in 2021. This was followed by books such as Atmospheric Poetry for Children (2023) and Seven Thousand Signs (2024). Since 2017, she has been actively engaged in literary, creative, and pedagogical work.
