Good Ghost Karma

by LindaAnn LoSchiavo

Though Hollywood has never met real ghosts,
You might. React with kindness, not with fright.

That humanesque transparent band’s sent back
For reasons you don’t understand. Accept
The fact that life and death converge. One night
You’ll get fine ghost gifts you’ve deserved, reserved
Through reciprocity. Karma, unlike
Genetic blessed bequests, is yours to earn
Before bright days migrate to nevermore.

Believe that human energy always
Leaves traces and communicates, unseen
Or visible. Your loved ones, now deceased,
Don’t want dark grief. Invariably, ghosts
Need favors done, correcting wrongs perhaps,
Maintaining legacies. Do not forget
The dead keep score, self-centered to the core.

Perform just tasks on their behalf, then watch
Your fortunes change: improvement that’s top notch.

Cooperation makes all souls transform.

Life’s giddy course soon ends. In spirit form,
Pursuing humans, you’ll protect or warn.
