Ewa Mazierska

Ewa is originally from Poland but now lives in Lancashire, in the U.K. She is primarily a historian of film and popular music but, as a sideline, has published over fifty short stories in various journals, to significant acclaim.

“The Left-Behind” will invite readers to look warily or even with alarm at their cellphones. Are these devices of mass communication causing users to lose their senses, starting with hearing and speech? The literary genre of magical realism is apt to convey the moral that reality run amok may seem to play magic tricks that can be quite alarming.
