Vahid Zakeri

Vahid moved to Vancouver, B.C. in 2008 from his native Shiraz, Iran. He has published three short-story collections in Farsi and has won local literary awards for work blending speculative and literary fiction.

“The Eternal Bliss of Siaamaa” begins in a near-future setting where romance is facilitated but not entirely replaced by technology. However, a certain device makes it possilbe for some experiences — presumably “blissful” ones — to be made permanent, at the operator’s discretion, of course.
