“Full Authority to Arrest and Detain” is based on certain jurisdictions’ “three strikes” laws, which impose extra punishment for a third felony offense. In this near-future social satire, the punishment for minor, even trivial offenses consists of brainwashing.

The consequences begin with altering an individual’s unconscious habits, but a “third strike” may end with completely changing the convict’s personality. Beware the implications: in the end, the entire population may resemble the police officers who arrested it.
