Kai Toh

Kai Toh lives in the greater Toronto area, where he is an editor of legal and academic books. He has been working recently on a series of short stories featuring Raith, a hermit who can transform into a raven as well as other figures.

“Brothers in Arms” depicts an attempt by two First Nations comrades, Ahanu and Raith, to salvage the relationship gone wrong between two cultures that meet in an isolated country at the wrong time. It recalls in some ways the early confrontations between North American natives and European settlers.
