Cody comes from a town in rural Texas that had a munitions plant and a “biker church.” He has had a successful 14-year career in animated storytelling with many film producers.

“Gut Worms” has a title that dares readers to open the first page. But the worms in question are a natural entity that takes many different forms, in this case something like a tapeworm. The worms have become a plague in a society that is deprived of sufficient health precautions and is exploited for the pleasure of the wealthy. Readers will recognize the story as science fiction set in a near future. How near? We shall see.
