Bewildering Stories introduces and welcomes...
Fatin Zaklouta
Fatin lives in Germany and has a PhD degree in Computer Vision. She has published in various literary journals, and her fiction emphasizes “interior lives, quiet encounters“ and the emotional weight in what is unspoken.
“Emergency Contact” features Claire, an employee in a large corporation, who has a talent for listening carefully and responding kindly even to those whom Claire does not know. A grateful fellow employee makes Claire known to others, and the result is a bureaucratic nightmare, one that fortunately ends well, thanks to Claire’s even-handed self-determination.
