Bewildering Stories introduces and welcomes...
Chapel Oak O’Connor
Chapel Oak O”Connor lives in Maine. He likes to write “soft” science fiction and “character-driven” short stories with interiority as a favorite perspective.
“The Sight of Ordinary Things” brings David, a visitor presumably from a far future time, to a present-day farm where he meets Mary, who introduces him to her parents and family. Mary is curious about David, but he will learn far more than she, because, as he explains to her, he is fascinated by her family’s living in the ecological wealth of the natural world. The story.quite evidently implies a moral for today’s world.
