Bewildering Stories introduces and welcomes...

Aritra Basak

Aritra is based n Kolkata, India, and is a student majoring in physics. He has published works in various journals. His fiction “explores time, attention, and small physical rituals through image-driven language.”

Notes by Altitude” will surely convince readers that the story fits the author’s description of his style. However, readers are typically a very practical lot; they approach literature with a set of questions worthy of journalists: “Who is doing what, how, where, when and why?”

And those questions seem to provide a decryption key: ask, “Who is doing what? Never mind the rest.” An example of the approach can be found in BwS’ essay on advanced grammar: It Beats As It Sweeps As It Cleans under “To find out what happens in any scene, select the verbs and subjects.” As always, Bewildering Stories’ mission is to facilitate communication between authors and readers.

Aritra Basak’s bio sketch can be found here.
