“Paper Winter” is indexed as a drama, which it is, partly. It’s actually a mixed genre of filmscript and short fiction prose. The script and narrative combine to form a tragedy.
An actress is, in effect, bullied into the actual state of mind that the script calls for her to portray. The results provide one satisfactory image for the film director and producer; little do they know what they have caused to take place offstage.
