Bewildering Stories introduces and welcomes...

Ly Ann

Ly Ann is a writer and clinical psychologist whose work has been published in both creative outlets (Funny Pearls, Little Old Lady Comedy, and The Haven) and academic journals and books (Frontiers in Psychology, International Journal of Behavioral Development, and Presses de l’Université du Québec). Her debut science fiction novel was selected as one of the Judges’ Top Picks for the Claymore Awards.

She holds a PhD in Psychology. Her clinical experience with trauma and mental health challenges informs her writing and contributes to the psychological depth of her characters.

Originally from Quebec, she grew up in a low-income, French-speaking household. Since moving to Ottawa a decade ago, she has finally mastered the crucial skill of pronouncing the “th” in “three.”

Daughter Unmoored” will surely appeal to readers as an account of a turning point in the life of a teenage girl, Kaia, whose parents have died and who now lives alone on a Pacific island. She must beware of violent intruders, but she is lonely and is reluctant to repel an apparently peaceful family that has come ashore.

Ly Ann’s bio sketch can be found here.
