Bewildering Stories introduces and welcomes...

Sabrina Ramet

Sabrina moved from London, England to California at age 10. She has a degree in Philosophy from Stanford Universityy and in Political Science from UCLA. She has taught at UC-Santa Barbara and the University of Wshington. She became a dual citizen of the USA and Norway in 2001 when becoming a Professor of Political Science at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology. She has published 16 books of history and co-authored three scholarly books and has written two novellas and six volumes of absurdist verse.

The Day Before Stiklestad” celebrates Olav, a Viking king whose complex legacy was the unification and Christianization of Norway for the century following his death. The play features warrior companions of Olav’s who muse over their possibilities in life if they do not choose to follow Olav to death in battle.
