“Greta” is apparently a moral tale intended for young adult readers, perhaps primarily adolescents attracted to the idea of a career providing wealth, fame and influence. Such activities can be costly in terms of travel and personal time, and the consequence may be an emotional isolation that, with age, will bring regrets.
