R.R. Brooks
R.R. Brooks holds a B.S. in chemistry from Princeton and a Ph.D. in biochemistry from Johns Hopkins. He has conducted pharmaceutical research in the drug industry and authored over 30 scientific articles and presented numerous papers. He and his wife retired to western North Carolina with two dogs, two cats, and fish.

The author studied fiction writing at Longridge Writers Group, Writers Digest Online, and the University of North Carolina, and is an active member of the Blue Ridge Writers Group. His fantasy short stories have appeared in the Norwich Evening Sun (Norwich, NY), Shadow Magazine, and The Sink. The science fiction short “Soul Snatch” received an honorable mention in the 2003 Writers Digest competition. His short play Wee White Critters was performed at the White Squirrel Festival in Brevard, NC in 2005 and 2007. A humorous essay was published by The Transylvania Times (Brevard, NC) and The Cowboy Quilt Biographies by The Jim Bob Tinsley Museum (Brevard, NC.)

He has written a full-length play based on a science fiction short story. Other writing includes novels in the thriller category and the fantasy genre. With A.C. Brooks he is working on a mystery novel.
