Bewildering Stories biography

I began writing short stories when I was fifteen and began publishing them in independent literary journals in my twenties. By now I have published more than 100 short stories; three novellas, all available at Pikerspress.com; a collection of short stories: She Receives the Night, Vine Leaves Press; a novel: The Way Home, DayBue Press; and a nonfiction account of a year I spent in Iraq: Nights in the Pink Motel, Naval Institute Press.

I also was contributing editor of a collection of essays about North American interdependence: Identities in North America, Stanford University Press.

I live in Chapel Hill, North Carolina.
