Pushcart Prize and Best of the Net-nominated South African Abigail George is a blogger, essayist, poet, short story, grant, and novella writer and novelist.
Her latest book is The Scholarship Girl. It is available via Amazon in the States and African Books Collective in the United Kingdom.
She is the recipient of four grants from the National Arts Council in Johannesburg, the Centre for the Book in Cape Town and ECPACC in East London.
She wrote for a symposium for a year for Ovi Magazine in Finland, studied film at Newtown Film and Television School in Johannesburg, was a trainee for a brief stint at a television production company, and has been published widely in anthologies, in print in South Africa, and in e-zines based across the African continent, Europe, the UK, the States, Ireland, India, Canada, Australia and Singapore, and elsewhere.
