Bewildering Stories biography
Living in Michigan with one long, fat cat and one long, tall biker boyfriend, I write fiction. With it, I mean to deal with “the non”: the nonconformance, the nonstandard, the nonplusing, the nonfiction.
My poetry, flash fiction and short stories attempt to express the remarkable, strange, and horrific. Practice may result in longer works. When not reading, writing, or searching for the perfect keyboard, I also enjoy the grotesquely beautiful, finger painting, and the piano.
Some of my happiest childhood memories involve telling stories to any available audience. My cat remains my number one fan. Much time spent growing up brought hard lessons about money and work, and how little relation they have to one another.
The prestigious degree of GED in Equivalency (Three letters are better are than two, yes?) has earned me respected titles such as Sandwich Artist, Head Assistant Manager, Night Manager, and the esteemed Laborer.
Still, I want more. I desire the surreal connection that occurs between reader and author. After failing to find that connection in a file folder, I decided to try the traditional route of submission. Besides, writing fuels my paper fetish.
Other publication credits include Song Stories Press, MicroHorror, and From the Depths Magazine.
