Thomas Wm. Hamilton
Bewildering Stories biography
Thomas Wm. Hamilton received his degrees in German and Astronomy from Columbia University and then worked for three years on the Apollo Project determining fuel usage, radar accuracy needs, and other details.
After this, he briefly worked for a planetarium manufacturer, and then taught astronomy and other subjects for 34 years at all three colleges on Staten Island.
Since retiring in 2003 he has cared for dozens of cats and authored eight books listed at this website.
He is a Fellow of the International Planetarium Society, and asteroid 4897 was named for him by the International Astronomical Society.
