John Hawfield

Bewildering Stories biography

John Hawfield currently lives in Tibet as a Yak. He now spends his days swatting flies and belching the Canadian national anthem for tourists. From mid-Michigan, he was known to previously frequent Lansing area writers’ workshops where he could be found nicking the coffee and doughnuts, and disrupting a reading with bursts of laughter at inappropriate moments. Mr. Hawfield is survived by his wife (poet Ann Hawfield) and two children. Email may be sent to, but it is doubtful that yaks can read email.
