I live in a tiny village in England. I write very slowly — this is because every word must be right. I am not satisfied with something that will just do. I am a potter, musician, artist, and trainee counsellor, and recently have discovered that I am poor but talented. This image needs changing, so I’m thinking about becoming rich and talented instead — seems like a better option.

I am world-worn and weary, but I sometimes still retain a childish wonder of life, the universe and everything. My sense of humour is off the wall, and sometimes low and cutting.

At the moment I am writing a book — a series of inter-connected stories — you could call it sci fi. It will be finished no later than 2010, if you’re lucky. I have short stories from the book, but cannot publish them yet.

I also write magazine articles occasionally.
