James Brian King
Bewildering Stories biography
James Brian King resides in the state of Washington. King began writing during the glory days of role playing game magazines and his work appeared in several popular RPG zines as well as within the pages of his own periodical, “Voyages SF.”
The transition from RPG writing to fiction was inevitable, and his short stories and novelettes have appeared in Aphelion, Adventure Fiction Online, Quantum Muse, Fables, Gryphonwood, Scribal Tales, Sword’s Edge, and Pulp and Dagger.
King’s stories are a mixed bag of science fiction, fantasy, and historical fiction, but the historicals are his favorites; they provide an excuse to continually expand his already extensive historical library.
King remains a dedicated role player and considers role playing games an imaginatively fertile environment in which to create fictional characters.
