Bewildering Stories biography
I am a retired Clinical Laboratory Technologist who was first published at the age of ten with a letter to the editor of The Boston Post. In it, I refuted a previous writer’s claim that a fan of the then Boston Braves would not be caught dead in Fenway Park, home of the Red Sox. Seeing my byline in print, I was hooked and have been writing ever since.
My life’s work was mostly supervising the clinical laboratory of a hospital. As one who worked in the sciences, I hold truth to be my highest value (except, of course, when I write fiction). I have published three mainstream novels: The Teaching Of Don Vaughn: A Yankee’s Way Of Knowledge, which I wrote under the pseudonym of Adam Mister, and two under my own name. They are: The Protisint’s Dilemma and Lady Small Sam.
I also published a compilation of my short stories and poems called Fireside Reading: Short Stories And Poems to Relax By. All are available from Amazon as paperbacks or Kindle versions. In addition, my fiction, non-fiction, and poetry have appeared in numerous print and electronic magazines and journals including Modern Maturity, Medical Laboratory Observer, Marriage, Animal Watch, Ariel Chart, and The Norfolk Quill among others.
I am a widower living in rural New Hampshire, where I do crossword puzzles and write when my muse so moves me. (When she doesn’t, I write anyway.)
