Ally Malinenko
Bewildering Stories biography
Ally Malinenko enjoys writing so much she even gets up at 5 a.m. to do it before going to work. Even in the winter when she doesn’t want to get out of bed. And even in the summer when her apartment is sweltering. She would like to think that is dedication but she is sure it’s just lunacy.
Other than writing, she likes traveling, daydreaming, and obsessing about the potential for secret passageways in her childhood home and people who wear eye patches. She keeps a poetry blog and a fiction blog.
Her first book of poems, The Wanting Bone, was recently published by Six Gallery Press and is for sale on Amazon if that is your kind of thing. She is eternally grateful for all the zines that have published her work online and in print.
Ally is currently living in Brooklyn with her husband, and two villainous cats and she has recently completed her first children’s novel, which she hopes will be picked up by a publisher one day so she never has to go to work again and can start sleeping in.
