Mary Brunini McArdle has a degree from the University of Dallas in History with a minor in English and assorted graduate hours. Work experience has been varied. Publication credits include Mississippi Outdoors, Mississippi Gardens, The Villager, Reader’s Break, Vintage Northwest, Innisfree, Sidetrekked, Mobius, Pegasus, The Open Bone, and others. For eight years She was poetry columnist for an Illinois journal.
The poem “Winter Dawn” was a prize winner at the Limestone Dust Poetry Festival in Huntsville, Alabama, in April 2006.
At the University of Alabama in Huntsville, McArdle has taught Poetry and Military Strategy for the Adult Lifetime Learning Program. She also taught Fiction at Huntsville’s Senior Center. She belongs to two choirs and have won numerous awards in Poetry, Fiction, Nonfiction, and Short Plays. Among her favorite pastimes are designing handmade doll clothes and caring for her four cats.
