I grew up in the north east of England and have lived in Shropshire, UK with my artist partner for over 25 years, where we raised our two sons.
I picked up a degree in Fine Art back in the eighties, and dallied with painting for a while before training to be a teacher. I’ve worked in education through the nineties to the present day, gaining an MBA along the way.
I’ve been writing off and on since a teenager. This is my first published story.
The prose writers who have inspired me over the years include Samuel Beckett, early Ian McEwan, Alice Munro, John Updike, Vladimir Nabokov, and many others too numerous to mention.
