Suzanne Weichhart lives in Essex, an English county renowned as a hotbed of highbrow literary endeavour.
After graduating from Manchester University with a degree in English and American Literature, she resolved never to indulge in hard work and intellectual rigour ever again. Consequently, she lives a life of blissful domestic insouciance with her long-suffering husband and two children.
She writes because it beats doing housework. “White Garden” is the first poem she has ever submitted for publication. She thinks she might submit another one somewhere, someday.
Oh hang on a minute, she has had over thirty topical news haiku published by The Guardian;
although she believes
seventeen short syllables
insignificant.
