Bewildering Stories introduces and welcomes...
Sophia-Maria Nicolopoulos
Sophia-Maria is a publishing operations manager who is also a writer of horror and fever dreams inspired by Greek folklore and myths. Her poetry explores intergenerational trauma, and a manifesto glorifies felines.
“And Then There Shall Be Rain” will surely fascinate readers with the account of a Syrian refugee who is haunted by the sinister nightmare figure Abu Kees, whom she also calls the Smog Man. The result is a depiction of the anxiety that one imagines must surely be felt by a displaced person in both modern times as well as in the year civilization collapsed.
