Bewildering Stories introduces and welcomes...
J. M. Faulkner
J. M.’s early years date from a council estate in Essex. At present, he teaches English as a second language in the Czech Republic. His prose fiction varies between “darker” and “sunnier” writings and has been published on line and is forthcoming at a small press.
“An Amazing Warehouse” tells a story of Rajiv, a young man in an immigrant family that is keenly aware of the value of even seasonal manual labor. Rajiv does not want to work in the oppressive climate of his father’s shop, but he finds the substitute, warehouse work, very long and crushingly fatiguing. He wonders how anybody can do it. When he finds out, he stages a revolt. Readers will root for him.
