“Aquasphere” is one of the stories inspired by a dream. Readers will find that it is a partial “frame” story, where the heroine resigns hrself to living alone after a divorce but, at the end, discovers that she and a comrade in a surrealistic adventure mysteriously know each other’s names.

The semi-humorous embedded story might qualify as a “dream story” by Bewildering Stories’ guidelines, but the conclusion ensures that the story does not logically cancel itself out.
