Bewildering Stories introduces and welcomes...
Alex Zoubine
Alex lives outside of New York City with a partner and dog. He has published poetry and speculative fiction extensively and enjoys languages and technology as a hobby.
“Of a Feather” transmutes a common school-age social-acceptance anxiety into a humorous story featuring people who look like birds. They have a supposedly forbidden genetic quirk that gives some of them human hair. Oh, how taboo! But wait... does anyone have naturally blue hair? Birds may have blue feathers. Forbidden colors are becoming just a little too complicated to keep track of, wouldn’t you say?
