Bewildering Stories introduces and welcomes...
Robert B. Marcus, Jr.
and Kim Frank Richardson
A double welcome message is a rarity at BwS because we seldom receive collaborative works.
Robert says he published about two hundred medical articles “in a former life.” In this life, he lives with his family in Georgia and is a special long-term member of the Science Fiction and Fantasy Writers of America and of International Thriller Writers. He has published five novels and many short stories.
Kim lives with his family in a suburb of Houton, Texas. He’s had a 22-year career in the U.S. Navy and the reserves. He has co-authored with Robert three novels and a couple of short stories.
“Wormholes, Immortality and Gadgets” offers an implied challenge to the reader: given a character who is a gorilla with a super-human intellect but incapable of speech, what would you imagine him doing if he is to make a comfortable living for himself and maybe — or maybe not — make himself useful to humanity? Robert and Kim have him start at the top, with discoveries that curently appear quite impossible. Their gorilla encounters incredulity at first but eventually invents popular “gadgets” that no one else would have thought of.
