Mark Manifesto

Mark lives in the San Francisco Bay area. He has studied humanities, business, and environmental science at St. Mary’s College of California. He has published extensively.

The 24th of December” will amaze readers with its treatment of popular mythology. The Santa Claus in this story is played by a succession of characters, and the latest has all the angst of a newbie. His pagan counterpart, the ogre-like Krampus out of pagan Germanic folklore, is permanent. Since Krampus is devoted to punishing the evil while Santa rewards the good, they wage warfare across the Arctic wastes with modern weaponry. Readers will find it easy to remind themselves that all this smoky conflict takes place before December 25th!
