“Intuitive Analysis” provides as a title a term that readers may surmise means “guesswork,” especially when it’s done with chickens. Might it apply to business decisions and investments? But where and when did the chickens come in? In ancient Rome. But why? Rome’s sacred geese cackled a warning of an invasion by Gauls in 390 BCE. Maybe Roman augurs found chickens easier than geese to work with.
