Peter Mangiaracina

Peter is originally from New York City but now lives in the Canary Islands. Outside of his work, he writes, does videograpy and plays the jazz fusion guitar. He has made a solid start in publishing fiction.

“The Alchemy of Attraction” is a comic irony fit for Valentine’s Day week. It starts with a character’s explaining his impersonation. He tells Calathea Pomona that he’s a gardener by the name is Vince Sylvan, But then he tells the readers: “A lie. My name is Bert. Bert Tumnus. And I’m no gardener.”

Bert, disguised as Vince, puts on an elaborate performance to win Calathea’s heart, little knowing that he had already done so in a previous encounter. If you want to be someone’s Valentine, first make sure you — as well as everyone else — know who you are.
