You’ll Get Radiation Damage
by Ian Donnell Arbuckle
Looking like that at the screen every day.
I know you’re in love but must you be
so awful and obscure about it?
I know it’s the bile to say something
new but need you paste your nose
right on the screen? You’re mean; you don’t even
look at your fingers like that and they’re yours.
“Behave behave my good right arm — my calluses
are stronger, now the pads fit on the keys just so.
I’ve been planning for this all my life. I need you
and your extra reach. It takes two to make a living
and I refuse to be reduced to hunt and peck.”
