Bewildering Stories

Paul McManus writes about...

“Life in the Fast Lane”

A reader compliments Charles Richard Laing on his story, which appeared in issue 131.

Charles,

I really enjoyed your story, “Life in the Fast Lane,” for a variety of reasons. The way you outlined what was happening, without explaining how, was very impressive and something that a lot of writers find very difficult to do. There was a sense of events taking place in a bubble of some kind but in the woman's living room at the same time; I think you'll know what I mean.

The subject matter itself was very interesting in both a social and sci-fi sense. This led me to have a look at another of your stories, “Mary Listened,” which I also enjoyed. Given the opportunity I'll read the rest. You have some considerable talent there, but I still hope you win the Lottery. Good Luck!
