Bewildering Stories welcomes...
Phillip Pettit
Two, count ’em, two Western Australians in our Biographies & Bibliographies. First, Clyde Andrews and now Phillip Pettit. And they both live in Perth. Hey, you’re practically neighbors, right, mates? Maybe you’ll run into Edward Burger next time you’re in Sydney. Just a hop, skip and a jump. No? It’s a lot farther than that? Back to the maps!
Phillip joins another large and respectable group among us: computer programmers and technical writers. The high priests of the info-tech age! We hope you all receive the respect and recompense you are due.
Clyde, next time you get on the bus with Phillip, check to make sure he doesn’t have a wild gleam in his eye and a box of Morph-Dust in his hand. If he does, be careful not to have a sneezing fit, okay?
“Morph-Dust” is one of those stories that succeed in being both fish and fowl. Is it a comedy? Most certainly! Is it a tragedy? Well, no. Aside from a case of the itchies, nobody gets hurt, and Riley Jameson is just disappointed. Let’s classify it as a cautionary tale in the “Oops!” subgenre.
Phillip’s bio sketch can be found here.
Welcome to Bewildering Stories, Phillip. We hope to hear from you again soon and often!
