Bewildering Stories welcomes...
Darin C. Bradley
Darin is well on the way to becoming a writer’s writer. He holds degrees in Language & Composition and Literature & Literary Criticism and is working on a Ph.D. thesis on the mechanics of the weird in contemporary speculative fiction. Darin also writes whereof he studies and has stories appearing in several magazines and an anthology.
Darin, you’ve come to the right place. Perhaps you can send us an article defining the “weird.” I’m sure we’d be fascinated. And with that as a starting point, we could help you mine our Archive. Weird, yes, I imagine we do have some. I can envision only one problem: what’s weird to others may, to us, be comfortably Bewildering.
“The Caprock Resistance” will baffle readers who haven’t seen many Western movies. It features 19th-century English Luddites transported to a futuristic Wild West invaded by ‘globalization’, i.e. big business with only a mechanical face.
Darin’s bio sketch can be found here.
Welcome to Bewildering Stories, Darin. We hope to hear from you again soon and often!
