Harriett lives in a most romantic place: the Queen Charlotte Islands, off the northwest coast of Canada. Her stories have appeared in several interesting-sounding places, including Amsterdam Scriptum. Harriett’s cat might enjoy Jack Alcott’s Grim Legion.

“The Demotion of Pluto” seems to draw upon Harriett’s experience as a reporter, though one wonders if she ever had an interview like that with Jupiter and Pluto. The story’s irreverence turns classical mythology from stuffy to spicy.
