Bewildering Stories welcomes...
S. M. Murdock
S. M. lives in the San Diego area and grew up on TV in the good old days of shows such as Night Gallery. She’s training her two kids to become astronauts and set sail for the Final Frontier beginning, oh, next week. S. M. has trained as a copy editor, proofreader and transcriptionist. But that hasn't kept her from the joy of writing fiction.
“The Avvy” is far and away the best “Elvis” story we’ve ever received. I’m told that it is inspired by the image of a real Elvis impersonator from India.
The story’s elegance derives from its deceptive simplicity: the reader is plunged into a combination morality and miracle play where the Hindu god Shiva intervenes and does Pal a good turn by destroying Pal’s false dreams and illusions and bringing him back to a reality where he can truly shine.

Welcome to Bewildering Stories, S. M. We hope to hear from you again soon and often!
