Scott Barnes

Scott has had an interesting and varied career but says he’s settled down to writing fiction while working on his family farm.

“The Last Job” is a satire set in a near-future world where androids have become surrogate human beings and have effectively outlawed the work ethic. It would be interesting to draw comparisons with Kurt Vonnegut’s early novel Player Piano as well as with Bewildering Stories’ “android” stories by Bill Bowler, Bertil Falk, and Gary Inbinder.
