Dan Murphy

A former reporter and editor, Dan lives in Buffalo, New York and freelances book reviews and local news to the Buffalo News as well as articles for national sports and entertainment magazines. He’s written a history of the Erie Canal and of — get this — professional wrestling in western New York.

As a former resident of Eggertsville — now amalgamated into Amherst, I imagine — I think we have have been in the same locality at the same time.

In fiction, Dan has published some horror stories. “Kynia’s Funeral” counts as one. Its interest is in the dilemma it poses: what do you do when you seem to be the only one at a solemn event who perceives something highly unusual?
