The title “Visions of Hummus-cide” gives away part of the story, but that’s okay: there’s more to it than the garden-variety revenge fantasy. The moral seems to be: Don’t poison a platter unless you know for sure who’s going to eat it. And the ending invites the reader to imagine how — or whether — a detective might unravel the case.
