Holly Day

Holly lives with her family in Minneapolis, where she teaches travel writing. Recent non-fiction books include Music Theory and Music Composition “for Dummies,” as well as a walker’s guide to Minneapolis-St. Paul.

“Discipline” carries an accurate title. The poem is actually an extended cautionary adage: a photographer — and, by implication, a writer — makes the audience see what’s in focus.
