Kai Laursen

Kai hails from Seattle but currently lives in Bali. He has an MFA from the California College of Arts.

“Search for Dominant Gene” is a cryptic poem based on a series of discordant events, all of which call for an explanation. What might it refer to? Some speculate it’s about a murderer on the lam, or an immigrant-smuggling operation in the American southwest. Readers will make of it what they can!
