Jason Phillip Reeser

Jason lives with his family in Louisiana. He has published a short story in the Louisiana Review and is working on a collection of short stories about New Orleans’ “Cities of the Dead.”

“Timeless in Winter” is a story set on the Eastern Front in WW2. At its centre are soldiers caught in suspended animation, apparently because war has drained them of any capacity for emotion. But is that all there is to it? One of the motionless soldiers is found to be weeping, and one of the soldiers who discover the group refers to them as the “Living.” The mystery as well as the action are sure to keep readers on the page.
