Bewildering Stories welcomes...
Lisamarie Lamb
Lisamarie says she wrote her first story at the age of five: “Jessica Fletcher and the Phantom Raspberry Blower.” I’d say that anybody who can spell “raspberry” at age five is on her way to literary fame! And sure enough, she wrote her first novel at age 12 — and has proceeded apace ever since in various genres, including romances and children’s books.
“Travelling West” is a darkly humourous story about Janet West, who is travelling on a westward-bound city bus. Suddenly Janet screams — or perhaps yells, like a medieval skald, to get an audience’s attention — and eventually tells her concerned fellow passengers why she screamed. The ending is highly thought-provoking, because it raises questions about the way we distinguish between fact and fiction.
Welcome to Bewildering Stories, Lisamarie. We hope to hear from you again soon and often!
